TAMARACK ISLAND WILDERNESS LODGE is a beautiful 3 acre island deep in the heart of beautiful Lake of the Woods; located west of Morson, Ontario. 

Tamarack’s guests enjoy a unique outfitting experience in a rustic atmosphere. Our island getaway offers our guests a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Customers will enjoy an outdoor experience away from noisy jet-skis, powerboats, and crowds of people. They are able to fish, hunt, eat and sleep on their own individual schedules.

 The main Lodge is where guests can enjoy our meals, tell stories of the days’ adventures, develop new friendships, watch a game, or connect with family back home with our satellite Wi-Fi. We provide a truly friendly atmosphere where guests feel welcome and become close friends.

We have rental boats, a small store, gas, ice, bait, and guides to enhance the fishing and hunting experience. We also offer day trips into remote unpressured lakes by either hiking or chartering the services of a local float plane company. We offer all of this at a price that the working man can afford.

Our part of the lake is a little more remote than most other resorts so guests enjoy world class Musky fishing as well as excellent fishing for other species such as Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie and Perch. There are also opportunities to tackle Lake Trout, Whitefish and Largemouth Bass about an hour from camp.  

Lake of the Woods is truly a multispecies lake; along with fishing opportunities there are also many hunting opportunities during the fall and winter months.  We offer excellent hunting for Whitetail Deer, Waterfowl, Upland Birds and eventually Black Bears and Wolves.
